Mosaics are made with thousands of broken, colorful pieces of glass or other medium placed in a specific pattern to create a beautiful picture. However, if you stand too close to a mosaic the picture becomes lost and all we see are fragments of color.

There are times, on the adoption journey, when we become too focused on the "fragments" of what is our family. The journey is long, amazing, beautiful, heart wrenching, and incredibly difficult, sometimes all at the same time. When we stand in the midst of all the issues that surround our families, we can easily become overwhelmed and lose sight of our goal.  There are moments in our lives when we need to step back, re-focus our eyes and be reminded that God is finishing our "picture". In His time, God will take all our broken and beautiful "pieces" and create a masterpiece that will showcase his redemptive love.
